August, 1990

In August 1990, under the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Jesus is the Way Church was established as an initiative of the Jesus is the Way Christian Church of Melbourne. Prompted by the Holy Spirit's call to bring Pentecostal teachings to this city, our devoted brothers from Melbourne, led by Pastor Domingo Fuentes and Armando Gonzales, arrived here. They began by organizing meetings in homes, attracting many Christians thirsty for God's divine presence.

The Church Grew

La respuesta fue abrumadora; Al cabo de un mes, el creciente número de creyentes requirió el traslado a un templo dedicado. Para 1992, nuestra iglesia había florecido y había entrado en un nuevo capítulo. El pastor fundador hizo la transición y pasó la antorcha a nuestro pastor actual. The response was overwhelming; within a month, the growing number of believers required the move to a dedicated temple. By 1992, our church had blossomed, entering a new chapter. The founding pastor transitioned, passing the torch to our present pastor. Since then, we have extended our faith to various corners, including prisons, hospitals, and nursing homes. We have actively supported our community through food assistance programs and even launched a radio show in 1998, titled 'Hispanic Awakening.'

Our faith is firm; we strongly believe that the 66 books comprising the sacred scriptures are the inspired and unfailing word of God. We acknowledge the existence of one God, eternal and inseparable, manifesting as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, each equal in essence, attributes, and eternal nature. We believe that salvation is attainable solely through personal acceptance of Him.
